# WazobiaMail documentation

WazobiaMail gives you inboxes on your own domain and an email API for your apps. Create mailboxes for yourself or your staff, receive customer replies, and send receipts, notifications and campaigns. The backend is written in Rust.

Send from your server through one endpoint: `POST https://app.wazobiamail.com/api/v1/sending/messages` with your API key.

## How it fits together

1. **Create an account** and verify a sending domain (SPF + DKIM).
2. **Create a sending API key** for each service that sends mail.
3. **Send** with `POST /sending/messages`. Watch opens and clicks under Sending.
4. **Scale** with a subscription or pay-as-you-go credits when you outgrow Free.

<Note>
  Every response uses the same envelope: `{ "success": true, "message": "...", "data": { ... } }`.
  Errors return `success: false` with a human-readable `message` — see [Errors](/docs/guides/errors).
</Note>

## Base URL

All endpoints live under the versioned API base on `https://app.wazobiamail.com`
— for example, `POST /sending/messages` (in full,
`https://app.wazobiamail.com/api/v1/sending/messages`).

## Inboxes for you and your team

[Create hosted mailboxes](/docs/guides/mailboxes) for addresses such as [you@yourname.com](mailto:you@yourname.com), [ada@yourbusiness.com](mailto:ada@yourbusiness.com) and [support@yourbusiness.com](mailto:support@yourbusiness.com). Connect them to an IMAP-capable email app for incoming mail and use the SMTP credentials for outgoing mail. Mailbox capacity depends on your plan.

## Use your language

[Copy a complete integration example](/docs/guides/integrations) for JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Go, Rust or Python.
